The City of Auburn is issuing a Notice of Application (NOA) and Public Hearing for the following described project.

Proposal: The property owner, Green River College, has requested a zoning map amendment, specifically a Site-Specific Rezone, Category 1, involving rezoning a property to a zoning district that already implements the comprehensive plan land use map designation applied to the property. The rezone shall be processed as a Type IV decision, consistent with ACC 14.03.040. Type IV decisions are quasi-judicial decisions made by the city council following recommendation by the hearing examiner. There is no development proposal with this request however, the applicant has applied for a change of use of the existing building from a daycare facility to a center for teaching and innovation under ADM22-0003.

Location: The subject property is located at 31715 124th Avenue SE, Auburn, WA 98092, King County Assessor Parcel No. 092105-9229.

Statement of Consistency and List of Applicable Development Regulations:  This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with the Auburn City Code, Comprehensive Plan, and Public Works Design and Construction Standards.

Public Comment Period: All persons may comment on this application. Comments must be in writing and received by the end of the 15-day comment period at 5:00 PM January 9, 2023 to the mailing address of 25 W Main St., Auburn, WA, 98001 or to the contact email address below. Any person wishing to become a party of record, shall include in their comments that they wish to receive notice of and participate in any hearings, if relevant, request a copy of decisions once made, and be made aware of appeal rights.
