Project Update:
The contractor is working hard to get the 4th Street SE Preservation project completed. Due to some delays early in the project the contractors schedule has been slightly extended. The contractor has completed most of the improvements between Auburn Way South and F Street SE. This segment of the project has been open to traffic since June 1, 2022. Final paving on this segment is scheduled for the week of November 1, 2022. After final paving, there may be a few minor construction activities that will take place but will have minimal impact to traffic.

Segment 2 of the Project (F Street SE to M Street SE) has been closed to through traffic since June 1, 2022. Paving activities are anticipated the week of November 1, 2022. The roadway is anticipated to reopen on November 18, 2022.

Concrete Crosswalks will be installed in the intersection of 4th Street SE and F Street SE as part of the work associated with Segment 2. This may require intermittent closures of the intersection.

Construction started in March 2022 and is anticipated to be completed by November 18, 2022. Weather may have an impact on the project schedule and could cause a delay.
