POP-ART PRINTMAKING - 53287

Inspired by famous pop-artist Andy Warhol, this class will teach students to use monotype printmaking, laser-cutting and their own photos to create fun and colorful portraits on paper! No experienced is required and beginners are welcome. Students can expect to go home with 6-10 finished prints which will make great gifts or décor for your house! All materials included for the class.

DAY OF THE DEAD PAPER QUILLING - 53372
In this fun and festive class, students will create & design a Day of the Dead sugar skull by quilling and rolling colorful strips of different widths paper. By learning this technique you will learn how to create different shapes: flowers, leaves, water drop, etc. All tools and supplies are provided!

Quilling is the art of rolling narrow strips of paper into coils or scrolls, and arranging them to form elegant filigree. In this project, you'll learn how to use a toothpick to roll coils and scrolls, then pinch, shape, and arrange them into decorative patterns. Program will be illustrated with books and samples of different designs. Quilling designs can also be used to decorate cards, cover books, jewelry, etc.

GLASS EARRINGS AND PENDANT WORKSHOP - 53384
In this fun workshop class, students will learn the tips and tricks to create one-of-a-kind kiln fused glass jewelry pieces! Learn to use frit, glass enamels and pre-fired glass to create one-of-a-kind earrings and a pendant.

Following the class, the pieces will be fired by the instructor in a kiln and will be available to pick-up the following week. Ages under 15 must be accompanied by a guardian - both guardian and child must register for use of the materials. Ages 16 and over, 12-15 with guardian.

ACRYLIC EXPRESSIONS - 53371
How can we use color and movement to create a feeling, to express a thought? In this class we will be putting our imaginations onto a canvas by creating drama with color. This class is about freedom to paint from the heart. All materials are provided and each student will get to bring home their art on a canvas ready to hang on a wall or give as a gift.

ELEVATOR SPEECHES AND NETWORKING FOR ARTISTS - 52986
The elevator speech is often used in the business world. It's based on the idea that you only have the time it takes to get from the top to bottom floor of a building to introduce yourself and your work. In this workshop, you'll develop your elevator speech, practice telling your story, and learn effective networking techniques to build on the connections you make in the arts community. By the end of the workshop, you'll be more comfortable talking about yourself and your work and be prepared for your next networking opportunity.

HOLIDAY SCRAPBOOKING - 53386
Get geared up for the holidays and join instructor Shanna Hystad as she shows you how to prepare to document the month of December in a mini-scrapbook album! First students will learn and discuss different ways to document the month, photo prompts, and journaling and will then work on building the foundation pages of your holiday album. It's a fun way to get in the spirit of the holiday season!

All materials will be provided except for a portable paper trimmer, which students are requested to purchase or bring for themselves.
