Ave Kids

Auburn AVE Kids showcases local, regional and national acts and touring presentations with an emphasis on audiences ages 4 through 12 and their parents, families, or friends. Most AVE Kids performances take place at Auburn Avenue Theater, located at 10 Auburn Ave, unless otherwise noted.

The AVE Kids performances are included as part of the City's overall BRAVO Performing Arts Season. Purchase several performances together and you are eligible for a discount! For details, view ticket and ordering information.

With the energy of 1,000 suns, The Zaniac shines like a comedy beacon. Jaws will drop, as Alex bounces from one end of the stage to the other juggling bowling balls, flaming torches and slices vegetables in half with a flying playing card. Every volunteer the Zaniac brings on stage becomes a hero and leaves with a memory that they’ll remember the rest of their life.

Red, White & Blue Holiday Concert
Please note: this show is held at the Auburn Performing Arts Center, 702 4th Street NE
Sing in the holidays with this annual free community concert performed by the 133rd Army Band of the Washington National Guard. Enjoy a festive and rousing concert of patriotic music honoring our troops, together with all of your favorite holiday music and carols.

Tickets are free, but required for admission and will be available for pick-up beginning November 1 at the Auburn Community & Event Center (910 9th Street SE). Limit 6 per family.

Delighting audiences for more than five decades, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, is a fresh approach to the 1967 classic. Sally Brown joins Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, and Snoopy in this charming revue of vignettes and songs. Two new songs, Beethoven Day and My New Philosophy, have been added to favorites from the original version, which include My Blanket and Me, The Baseball Game, Suppertime, and Happiness.

Sing and dance along with one of the most popular children's performers in the Northwest.  Chris Ballew, aka Caspar Babypants, is known by some as the lead singer and songwriter for The Presidents of the United States of America, the rock and roll band that sings about a frog, a kitty, a dune buggy, peaches and a lump. These days he is making music for kids and their parents as Caspar Babypants, and in doing so he has found a musical expression that truly feels comfortable and natural. Mary Poppins is now a Broadway Junior musical! The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before their new nanny, Mary Poppins arrives.  She is practically perfect in every way! She takes the children on magical and memorable adventures, and even teaches the grown-ups a lesson or two as she advises that "Anything can happen if you let it!”
