PysankyPysanky - Ukrainian Easter Eggs - #54746
Check out this unique class! Pysanky are intricate colorful designs created on the egg shell through the layering of beeswax and dyes. Participants in this workshop will be introduced to the rich traditions and history of the art of Pysanky.  Using the fascinating canvas of the egg shell (chicken, pre-blown and prepared), students will complete a simple star-burst design, with the traditional batik method using kistka, bees wax, dyes, and candle.  

No experience required and all materials will be provided. Open flames will be used, so oxygen equipment cannot be used on the premises where instruction is taking place. Pre-registration required.

Fused GlassBeginning Fused Glass - #54745
Astound your significant other, amaze your friends and family, be the envy of your neighborhood with your very own fused glass creations. Our 2 hour class covers basic types of fusible glass and techniques that will allow you to create two 4x4 tiles and a pendant art piece.

Your art pieces will be fired by the instructor and available for pickup 7 days after the class. Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

Pysanky IIPysanky II - Ukrainian Easter Egg Etching - #54747

OrizomeJapanese Orizomegami Paper Dyeing - #54785
In this fun new class students will learn the centuries-old art of traditional Japanese Orizomegami paper dyeing! Folding and dyeing absorbent Japanese paper will produce beautiful and interesting geometric patterns. Papers can be used for gift wrapping, card making, envelope lining, book binding or other creative applications. No experience is needed and all materials will be provided.
