About CERT

CERT is a blend of hands-on and classroom education that will have participants practicing extinguishing fires, treating injuries, and search and rescue techniques, as well as learn skills like emergency preparedness, utility safety, prioritizing medical care, emergency communications, and how to address the psychological impact of disasters. At the end of the course, CERTs will find, rescue, and treat 'injured' survivors for the final earthquake drill!

    Preparedness Classes

Auburn Emergency Management offers free emergency preparedness classes to Auburn-based community groups, neighborhood groups, schools, and workplaces with 10 or more participants.

The presentation can be customized to fit the timeframe and environment that works best for the group, and includes information about local hazards, building an emergency kit, and making a household plan.

To schedule a class for your group, contact Emergency Management at 253-876-1925 or email Auburn Emergency Management.
