SR 167 – Northbound at Pacific/Algona (Milepost 11)
On September 23, 2025, a truck hit and damaged a bridge girder near 3rd Avenue in Pacific/Algona. Two northbound left lanes remain closed until further notice.
-
Impact: Expect heavy delays on SR 167 northbound.
-
Repairs: WSDOT has confirmed the repair will take months, not weeks. Crews are developing a long-term fix and evaluating a possible temporary option to restore an additional lane.
-
What you can do: Seek alternate routes if possible, plan ahead, and allow extra time. Modify commute times if possible to avoid peak traffic periods (6 AM to 8 AM and 5 PM to 7 PM).

SR 410 – White River Bridge between Buckley and Enumclaw
The White River Bridge on SR 410 remains fully closed after sustaining significant structural damage.
-
Current status: WSDOT originally anticipated reopening one lane with alternating traffic by late September, but decided to proceed with full repairs that will extend into November or beyond.
-
Detour: Drivers are being routed through a lengthy detour using SR 164, 18, 167 and 410. Travelers should allow extra time, as this detour can add 45 to 60 minutes of travel or more during peak travel times. Unfortunately, this detour overlaps with SR 167 delays.
-
Progress update: As of late September, WSDOT reported they are about one-third of the way through repairs.

Stewart Road / 8th Street – White River Bridge (Sumner/Auburn)
The existing 2-lane bridge is being replaced with a new 4-lane bridge, including a sidewalk and trail crossing.
-
Timeline: Construction underway, completion expected in 2027.
-
Impact: Occasional nighttime full closures (e.g., girder delivery) and brief daytime traffic interruptions during crane operations. Girder delivery and installation will be on the nights of Oct. 9 & 10. There will be a full closure of Stewart road during this time. The closure will be from 8 PM to 6 AM both nights. Detour routes will be provided. Brief traffic interruptions will occur during crane operations. Traffic impacts expected to be minimal.
- Benefit: Will relieve a major corridor bottleneck and improve pedestrian and trail connections.
