Parks & Trails
As of 9/24/2020:

PARKS and TRAILS are OPEN.  Please practice physical distancing by staying 6 feet apart from others. We encourage park users to recreate responsibly to keep each other safe and help keep parks and trails open.

Informal recreation on BALLFIELDS (softball, baseball, soccer),  SPORT COURTS (tennis & pickleball), and other recreation areas such as Disc Golf, Skate Parks, and the Climbing Wall are ALLOWED for groups of 5 or fewer people outside the household. Enjoy your time, but please limit your stay so others may enjoy the fields and courts as well. Physical distancing must be observed during all activities. Organized sport leagues, tournaments and activities must rent fields and operate with an approved "Return to Play" plan.

PLAYGROUNDS are OPEN for groups of 5 or fewer people outside the household. Enjoy your time, but please limit your stay so others may enjoy the playgrounds as well.

Most outdoor RESTROOMS are OPEN. Park users are still encouraged to GO before you GO to a park.

Guidelines for use of AUBURN PARKS AND TRAILS. Park users are encouraged to follow these recommendations to recreate responsibly:

  • DO NOT visit public spaces if you have symptoms or are not feeling well.
  • Know before you go – Check the status of the place you want to visit.
If it is closed, don’t go. If it’s crowded, have a Plan B.
  • Practice physical distancing – Adventure in groups of 5 or fewer outside the household. Be prepared to cover your nose and mouth and give others space.
  • Stay close to home – This is not the time to travel long distances to recreate. Many places are only open for day use and restrooms may still be closed.
  • Play it safe – Slow down and choose lower-risk activities to reduce your risk of injury. Search and rescue operations and health care resources are both strained.
  • Leave no trace Respect parks, trails and communities and take all garbage with you, including disposable face masks and gloves.
