Ukulele is a fantastic intro instrument! It’s a wonderful option for anyone wanting to have some fun making music. In this class you can expect to learn the basics of the ukulele, some popular songs, chord reading, and how to play as a group. Students should plan to bring their own ukulele (soprano or concert size) if possible. All course materials will be provided during classes.

The City of Auburn is proud to be a Vietnam War Commemorative Partner and considers it an honor and privilege to host this annual event. Auburn has hosted the Veterans Parade since 1965. Now in its 59th year, the parade has grown into one of the largest parades of its kind in the United States of America.

The purpose of Auburn's Veterans Parade & Observance is to positively focus on honoring our country's veterans and active military personnel. Through our parade, we focus recognition on congressionally recognized Veteran Service Organizations and their auxiliaries, the military and military reserve, National Guard and ROTC. The goals and purposes of Auburn's Veterans Parade & Observance are to give honor to our country's veterans and to their military missions of defending freedom around the world. The 59th annual Veterans Parade will be held in Auburn on Saturday, November 9, 2024 starting at 11:00 AM. The parade typically boasts over 200 units and nearly 5,000 parade participants, including 20+ marching bands, military vehicles, veterans' units, honor guards and more.

In this family-friendly class you will learn how to transfer an image to a linoleum block, carve the block, and print your own handmade holiday cards! Pinocchio is a little wooden boy who yearns to be real so he can read, run, and make friends like other children do. But his new friends, the clever Cat and Fox, have other plans for this eager-to-please talking puppet. Can Pinocchio outfox his devious friends, tell the truth, and learn from his mistakes? Or will he be forever stuck with knobby knees and a protruding proboscis? Focus: Telling the truth.

City of Auburn's Lighted Santa Parade!

From Auburn High School to City Hall, lighted entries will fill Main Street with holiday joy!   

Beginning at 4:30 PM the parade will feature lighted vehicles, floats, cars, and walking entries. All community, families, non-profits, and businesses are welcome to participate.

All entries wishing to participate in the parade must register in advance by 5 PM on Friday, November 29, 2024.

TREE LIGHTING

Ring in the holidays with this annual free community concert performed by the America's First Corps Army Band. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear this festive and rousing concert presented by the Army’s best, together with all of your favorite holiday music and carols.

Tickets are free, but required for admission and will be available for pick-up beginning November 1 at the Auburn Community & Event Center. Limit 6 per family.

Celebrate the holidays with Auburn Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy new and familiar festive tunes spanning the breadth of holiday traditions complete with our traditional audience sing-along. Tim Pavino, who was featured on The Voice of the Philippines, will join us to sing “Sana Ngayong Pasko”, a sentimental Filipino favorite. Come early for even more cheer including photos with Santa, hot cocoa and cookies, and another special surprise or two!
