Youth Sports

The Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department offers various seasonal sport leagues for kids. A summary of each activity is included below along with the assignment/eligibility procedures. To check out the current season league offerings, visit Auburn @ Play On-line.

Due to COVID-19, no youth sport leagues are being offered but some youth sports clinics are being offered at this time. 

Sports Classes

Skyhawks provides a wide variety of fun, safe and positive programs that emphasize critical lessons in sports and life, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. The programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. Our patient and knowledgeable staff use a variety of skill-building games and activities to give each athlete a complete understanding and overview of the sport. This class will take place inside gym.

Participants will be placed in groups (by age) of no more than 5 participants per group and no co-mingling of kids in other groups. There will be a max of 10 participants per age group per session. Participants will also be required to wear a face-mask and removal will be directed by Skyhawks staff, generally when involved in vigorous exercise and/or when social distancing is easily maintained.

Virtual Basketball Skills

24 days to greatness has 24 days of training set up for you to improve you basketball skills.  Most skills and drills can be done at home or outside using your basketball hoop.  You may need a partner for some training.  Enjoy and hope this helps you improve your basketball skills for your next basketball season.
